Background

Akeredolu D.O. is an accomplished scientist specializing in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology with a comprehensive background in health planning and policy development. He earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Second Class (Upper Division) honours from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2005. He furthered his studies with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from the University of Benin in 2014 and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the University of Port Harcourt in 2017. Akeredolu is known for his result-driven approach and extensive expertise in coordinating and developing health plans and policies. His experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including health commodity supply chain management, technical facilitation at the local government area (LGA) level, social mobilization, micro-planning, training, personnel selection, needs assessment, risk analysis, surveillance, logistics management, distribution, and data collection and collation for supplementary immunization activities and integrated health programs. He has held significant roles such as Planning Officer in the Department of Health Planning, Research, and Statistics at the Ministry of Health, and a Reproductive Health Logistic Officer. Notably, Akeredolu played a crucial role in the remodelling, upgrading, reaccreditation, and reopening of the Colleges of Nursing Sciences and College of Health Sciences and Technology, demonstrating his commitment to improving health education and services.
